Who we are
Gridlume is a game published on Facebook and Messenger as an Instant Game by Amazing Showroom, LLC, 15760 Ventura Boulevard, #700, Encino, CA 91436, United States (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the game. You can reach us at support@amazingshowroomllc.com or +1 530 235 9262.
What the game collects
The game runs entirely inside Facebook and Messenger. We do not operate a server for it, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run our own analytics or set our own cookies.
- Game-scoped player ID. Meta gives the game an identifier that is unique to you within this game. We use it only so that Meta can store your progress for you.
- Your best score. Saved through Meta's Instant Games player storage so it is still there the next time you play. It is stored by Meta, not on any system we run.
Your current board, score and sound setting exist only on your device while you play and are not sent to us. The game does not request your friends list, email address, location, contacts, camera or microphone, and it does not read your name or profile photo.
Advertising
The game is free and is funded by ads served by Meta Audience Network: a banner at the bottom of the screen, a full-screen ad between some games, and an optional video you can choose to watch to continue a game once you run out of space.
To choose and measure ads, Meta may collect information such as your device type, approximate location, ad interactions and identifiers, under Meta's own Privacy Policy. We receive only aggregated reports (impressions and earnings), never information that identifies you. You can control how Meta uses data for ads in your Ad Preferences.
Sharing your score
If you tap Share score, Facebook opens its own share dialog with a picture of your game board and your score. Nothing is posted unless you confirm it there, and you choose the audience.
Why we use it
| Purpose | Data | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Saving your best score | Player ID, score | Providing the game you asked to play |
| Showing ads that fund the game | Data collected by Meta as described above | Legitimate interests; consent where required by law, collected by Meta |
| Sharing your score | Board picture and score you choose to share | Consent (you start it) |
We do not sell personal information.
Who processes the data
Meta Platforms, Inc. and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. host the game, store your score and serve ads, mainly in the United States and Ireland.
How long we keep it
Your best score stays in Instant Games storage for as long as the game remains connected to your Facebook account, or until you ask for it to be deleted.
How to delete your data
You can remove everything the game has stored at any time:
- On Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites (on some versions: Instant Games).
- Find Gridlume and choose Remove.
- Tick the option to also delete your activity, then confirm.
This disconnects the game and deletes your saved score. If you prefer, email support@amazingshowroomllc.com with the subject Gridlume data deletion and we will reset your saved data and confirm within 30 days. Data Meta collected for advertising is managed by Meta and can be deleted through your Facebook settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw consent. Email support@amazingshowroomllc.com and we will respond within one month. California residents have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Facebook and Messenger require users to be at least 13 (older in some countries). The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the game, contact us and we will delete what is stored.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the game starts collecting new kinds of data, this policy will be updated before that change goes live.
